We are so happy to welcome you to our little paradise in Clifden Glen. You haven’t just arrived at an accommodation; you’re stepping into our personal "home away from home."
The name of our cottage comes from the Irish (Gaelic). "Sruthan" (pronounced Sruh-han) means "little stream" or "flow." For us, this name symbolizes the flow, tranquility, and connection to nature that makes this place so special. We hope that you, too, find this stream of relaxation here and leave the everyday behind.

Every time we arrive here, turn the key in the lock, and breathe in the fresh air of Connemara, we are enchanted once again. This house is a magical retreat for us, into which we have poured so much love and passion. We invite you to share this feeling of comfort with us. Make yourselves cozy, feel at home, but please treat our cottage as if it were your own. We entrust it to you and hope that you take good care of it so that it retains its soul.
You may already have heard about Irish weather. We always say: without the rain, there would be no rainbows. Rain in Connemara is something special. It washes the landscape clean, makes the grass greener, and the air fresher. And the most beautiful part is the moment afterward: when the clouds break and the sun comes through again and it almost always does - the Twelve Bens and the Atlantic glow in colours so intense they seem almost unreal. Enjoy the patter of rain with a warm cup of tea just as much as the bright, sunlit moments outdoors. Both are part of the magic of this place.

You’re right in the heart of it! Clifden is a central hub on the longest defined coastal route in the world.

We wish you an unforgettable time filled with discovery, tranquility, and Irish warmth.
Your hosts,
