1. Scope of Application
- These General Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings of accommodation offered by: Name / Company: Johanna Gaspari / SruthanGlenCottage Address: Clifden Glen 3, Clifden, H71 TN12, Galway, Ireland via online booking platforms (e.g. Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo) as well as via direct bookings.
- In addition, the respective terms and conditions of the booking platform used shall apply.
2. Conclusion of Contract
- The accommodation contract is concluded when: a booking is confirmed via a booking platform, or a direct booking is confirmed in writing by the host. The services and prices valid at the time of booking shall apply.
3. Payment Terms
- Payment processing is carried out: via the respective booking platform, or via the payment providers agreed upon for direct bookings.
- The payment terms of the respective platform or the individually agreed payment deadlines shall apply.
4. Arrival and Departure
- Check-in: from 3:00 PM / Check-out: by 10:00 AM
- Deviations are only possible by prior agreement.
- Late departure may result in an additional charge.
5. Use of the Accommodation
- The accommodation may only be used by the number of guests specified in the booking.
- Parties, events, subletting, or commercial use are not permitted unless expressly agreed.
- Pets are only permitted if explicitly stated in the listing or confirmed in writing.
- Guests are obliged to treat the accommodation and its furnishings with care.
6. House Rules
- The house rules form an integral part of these terms and conditions and must be complied with.
- In the event of serious or repeated violations, the host reserves the right to terminate the accommodation contract with immediate effect.
7. Damage and Liability
- Guests are liable for any damage caused by themselves or accompanying persons.
- Any damage must be reported to the host immediately.
- The host is not liable for: loss or damage of guests’ personal belongings events of force majeure (e.g. natural disasters, official or governmental measures)
8. Defects and Complaints
- Any defects must be reported to the host immediately in order to allow remedial action.
- Failure to report defects in a timely manner may result in the exclusion of claims.
9. Cancellation / Withdrawal
- The cancellation conditions stated in the respective listing or booking confirmation shall apply, depending on the booking platform or direct booking.
10. Force Majeure
- In the event of force majeure, such as natural disasters, political unrest or war, governmental or official orders, infrastructure failures, strikes, or similar events, the host is entitled to withdraw from the contract without being liable for damages.
11. Data Protection
- Personal data is processed in accordance with: the data protection regulations of the respective booking platform, and the host’s privacy policy.
12. Final Provisions
- Should any provision of these terms and conditions be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. The law of the country in which the accommodation is located shall apply.
